SodaStream Starter Kit Giveaway (Expired 7/14)

It felt like Christmas when the SodaStream arrived at my house. I could not wait to open it and try it out! I think I was more excited than my kids!

It’s very simple to set up. You put the CO2 bottle in and it’s ready to go! It doesn’t use electricity, so that’s a plus. You fill the bottle with tap water and twist the bottle on the fountain jet. You press a button to add the bubbles. You add the flavor of your choice, cap, and gently shake to distribute the flavor.

If you don’t have a lot of counter space, you can still fit the SodaStream. It doesn’t take up a lot of space. It’s very slim.

Something you have to remember: You cannot use the dishwasher or hot water to wash the reusable bottles.

Now, the taste: I’ve heard people say the lemon-lime tastes exactly like Sprite and the Cola tastes exactly like Coke. I am not going to lie. In my opinion, they don’t taste “exactly” like brand name sodas. That doesn’t mean they taste bad! I think they taste great … more natural. They are comparable to brand name sodas.

One family member said the flavors weren’t bad, but even the regular flavors tasted like diet. Keep in mind that this was with cold tap water with ice cubes. He changed his mind when he used cold water from the fridge. He said that when the water is really cold it tastes better and the regular flavors do not taste like diet.

Out of all the flavors, my favorite is the ginger ale.

They also have Flavor Essence for those who want flavored seltzer instead of soda. They have no sugar.

Overall Opinion: The consensus of my household is a big collective thumbs up!
